Penni Tovey: Burlesque Fire Martini Glass

We were approached by performer and entertainer Penni Toveyabout creating a 6ft burlesque style giant Martini glass prop as a centrepiece for one of her performances. She needed it to be sturdy -as well asfireproof - as she was using it as part of a fire show.

The bespoke cocktail glassneeded to be able to fit into the back of a car for travel so we made it in four sections. The perspex bowl was 1 metre diameter, and the base, stem and support were all made out of steel before being spray finished.
