Game, Set, Match – A Giant Branded Tennis Ball for Nintendo

At the start of summer, the brilliant team at BD Network served up a challenge we couldn’t resist: create a giant branded tennis ball to promote the Mario Tennis Open.
But this wasn’t just any oversized prop. This Giant Branded Tennis Ball had a twist—one side needed to look like a classic, fuzzy tennis ball, while the other side proudly displayed the Nintendo DS logo.
The Wimbledon-Worthy Challenge
You’d think sourcing actual tennis ball fabric in the UK would be easy, right? Wrong. While the UK still produces loads of the stuff, it all gets shipped abroad in massive rolls before being turned into regular-sized tennis balls. Getting hold of just a small amount? Nearly impossible.
But we love a challenge.
How We Made It Happen
🎨 Colour-matching wizardry – We blended custom paints to recreate that iconic tennis ball yellow-green hue.
🧶 Felt magic – To nail the authentic texture, we used high-quality felt that looked like it had bounced straight off Centre Court.
🎾 Perfect proportions – Every detail, from the fuzz to the branding, was crafted to be as realistic (and as eye-catching) as possible.
The Final Score?
An ace of a Giant Branded Tennis Ball that looked smashing and had everyone doing a double take!
Got a big, bold, branded prop in mind? Whether it’s tennis balls, gaming icons, or something totally out there, we’re ready to make it happen. Let’s create something legendary.
