Yet another delicious chocolate collaboration with Chocolatician.  This chocolate roast dinner is every chocoholics dream come true.

In the run-up to Easter, Weber Shandwick on behalf of Aldi commissioned a full roast dinner with all the trimmings (including table, chairs, cutlery and plates) made out of chocolate.

This Easter feast was to highlight that the contrasting cost, at the time, of being able to rustle up a yummy Easter roast lunch from Aldi for less than the cost of a luxury Easter egg in most UK supermarkets.  As Aldi’s Joint Managing Director of Corporate Buying, Tony Baines said, “This Easter, at Aldi, customers can feed a family of four a roast lunch for a mere £3.80 per head – cheaper than a single luxury Easter egg in most UK supermarkets.”

A big thank you is owed to Jen Lindsey Clark at Chocolatician who came into work alongside the Plunge team and oversee the chocolate side of the production.

The whole tasty chocolate sculpture took three weeks to create and over 50kg of Aldi’s best chocolate.

Here’s is a behind the scenes video filmed here at the Plunge workshop

Hmmm, I wonder if this chocolate sculpture will be the final test for my chocolate eating tolerance levels… Doubt it.
